The Essential Features of Trespa Countertops in a Laboratory Setting

Trespa Countertops

Choosing the right countertops for your laboratory is important for assuring a safe and highly functional work environment. Trespa countertops contain features that are crucial for all types of laboratory environments, from chemical to institutional. Both Trespa Top Lab Plus and Trespa Top Lab Base are manufactured for durability, cleanliness, and functionality.

Durability

Trespa countertops offer different levels of durability depending on the lab environment you are working in. The durability of Trespa Toplab Plus is useful for chemical, physical, analytical, and microbiological laboratories. Trespa’s Electron Beam Curing (EBC) technology gives the Trespa Toplab Plus surface a high resistance to aggressive chemicals. The durability of Trespa Top Lab Base makes the countertop long-lasting and preserves its appearance. Trespa Top Lab Base has a melamine surface that is scratch-resistant and highly resistant to wear, essential for educational and institutional environments where preservation of a clean, aesthetically pleasing appearance is important and chemical resistance is not necessary.

Cleanliness

Since Trespa Top Lab Plus is manufactured with Electron Beam Curing (EBC) Technology, the surface contains antibacterial properties, thus maintaining cleanliness without the additional use of microbial substances. This surface is also easy to clean in instances where manual washing is necessary. These features are useful in lab environments where maintaining a high level of hygiene and avoiding contamination is crucial.

The Trespa Top Lab Base maintains its appearance even in environments where it is used and cleaned frequently. Bacteria build-up due to high levels of moisture is not a concern with Trespa Top Lab Base; its melamine surface resistant to mold and rotting as it is not affected by moisture.

Size and Functionality

Trespa countertops are small and lightweight, making them easy to move in laboratory environments. Both Trespa Toplab Base and Trespa Toplab Plus are available in 60″ x 120″, or 73″ x 96″. The only difference in size lies in thickness: Trespa Toplab Base ranges from ¼, ½, 5/8, ¾, and 1, and Trespa Toplab Plus ranges from ¼, ½, 5/8, ¾, and 1, with sizes that can be chosen depending on the setup of your chemical or educational laboratory environment. You can call AGR for availability. Both countertops come in black, grey, and white, and their surface colors cannot be oxidized; they will not fade because of contact with harsh chemicals. Trespa Toplab Plus includes single-sided standard panels, and Trespa Toplab Base includes double-sided standard panels.

Both countertops have proven to be functional and reliable: they are FSC, PEFC, and Greenguard Gold certified. With Trespa countertops’ high durability, it is unlikely that a replacement should be required after purchase, but each countertop comes with a 10-year warranty if you are worried about wear and tear that may occur during lab work.
